As the pharmacy business grew and moved to 600 State Street in downtown Belle Fourche, Cheryl Westland and Cindy D'Hooge could bring more of their dreams to life. The shift from a 2,400 sq ft space to a 6,000 sq ft facility enabled them to add an old-fashioned ice cream shop along with a larger gift shop stocked with authentic Navajo silver jewelry, unique handmade pottery, children's clothing in sizes 0-6 years, men's jewelry, and a of other gift items. The business now has three retail staff members eager to welcome you with a smile!

Western South Dakota. All items are selected for quality and unique craftsmanship. A large selection of Navajo Silver Jewelry greets you in large antique display cases. A glass room full of handcrafted pottery, also high quality kids clothing from sizes 0-6 years.
We pride ourselves in unique gifts, personal shopping assistance, and customer service. We also have a seasonal ice cream counter with
homemade Crazee Cow Ice Cream.
Rhonda Schmidt was born in Valentine, Nebraska, and raised in White River, South Dakota, but has called Belle Fourche home for many years. With a wealth of experience from previous long-term jobs, she is here to welcome everyone with a smile. When asked what makes being part of the Prairie Hills Pharmacy team special, Rhonda shares, "Joining a family-owned pharmacy felt like gaining a second family. There’s nothing more special than family, and I knew it would be a great fit." Outside of work, Rhonda enjoys spending time outdoors with her two grandsons proudly embracing her role as "Nana." Always ready to greet you with warmth, she offers expertise in Navajo silver and assists with all your purchasing needs.

Aysha, affectionately called "Moose," grew up in the Rapid City/Spearfish area and joined the PHP team August 2025. In her free time, she enjoys outdoor activities with 3-year-old son, such as hiking, fishing hunting, or making mud pies. When she manages to carve out some time away from her little one and three dogs, she participates in the Pink Ladies Dart league. asked what sets the Prairie Hills Pharmacy team apart, she shared, "Being part of such an incredible group of women is unlike any experience I've had. These two are the hardest-working women I've had the privilege to work with. Their genuine care and love for us is immeasurable. They aren’t just bosses; they are leaders who guide without judgment."
Moose brings a bright smile and vibrant personality to the team, making every customer feel welcomed and valued. With expertise in Navajo silver jewelry and proficiency in technology, she effectively manages our social media advertising and interactions.
VaLynn was born in Hot Springs, SD, but has called Belle Fourche home since she was two. With 22 years of teaching experience and over 10 years as the owner of Reruns for Small Ones, she joined the Prairie Hills Pharmacy team in 2025, bringing her expertise and warm smile. VaLynn feels that being part of the PHP team truly brings out the best in her. In her free time, she enjoys tending to her yard, relaxing by her backyard pond, and cherishing moments with her five grandchildren. VaLynn loves reconnecting with former customers while also assisting new ones with their shopping needs, always ensuring she will leave them with a smile!
